What Running Drill Is Used To Develop Your Speed In Basketball?

Running drills are a great way to improve your speed and agility on the basketball court. There are a number of different drills you can do to help you develop your speed and quickness. Here are a few of our favorites:

1. 10-yard dash – This is a simple drill that you can do anywhere. All you need is a stopwatch and a 10-yard stretch of open space. Start from a standing start and sprint as fast as you can for 10 yards. Record your time and try to beat it each time you do the drill.

2. suicides – This is a classic drill that is used in many sports. Start at the baseline and sprint to the free throw line. Touch the line with your hand and then sprint back to the baseline. Touch the baseline and then sprint to the half court line. Touch the line and then sprint back to the baseline. Touch the baseline and then sprint to the other free throw line. Touch the line and then sprint back to the baseline. Touch the baseline and then sprint to the other end of the court. Touch the line and then sprint back to the baseline. This drill can be repeated several times with a minute or two of rest in between.

3. shuttle run – This drill is similar to the suicides drill but with a few twists. Start at the baseline and sprint to the free throw line. Touch the line and then sprint back to the baseline.
