### Cleveland Track Club Sending 12 Athletes to 2024 Junior Olympic Games

CLEVELAND — Young athletes from the Cleveland-based Good2Great organization are gearing up for the 2024 Junior Olympic Games. Words of affirmation like “I am powerful” and “I can conquer all things” are at the core of their training, embodying the spirit of their organization.

Coach Cordale Scott emphasized the group’s mission: “We want to change the culture and the narrative in Cleveland, providing a positive outlet for youth through track and field.”

Founded in 2018, Good2Great offers Northeast Ohio youth from ages 5 to 19 the chance to compete in the Amateur Athletic Union circuit. Over the years, the team has become nationally ranked, with their recent achievements reflecting their dedication.

At the AAU Lake Erie District Qualifier, 12 Good2Great athletes qualified for the AAU Junior Olympic Games, scheduled for July 24-August 4 in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Kennedy Kelly, an 11-year-old athlete, expressed pride in her achievements: “I qualified in the 400 to go to nationals and I am the fastest 11-year-old girl in the Midwest. It’s really exciting.”

William Blue, a 14-year-old participant with over 50 medals, is eager to add more to his collection: “My dad always says bring me a trophy home and I do it every time for him.”

Through Good2Great, many Northeast Ohio children and their parents find a supportive foundation, enabling them to chase their dreams. Coach Scott encourages big dreams: “We want to show the kids that there’s no limitations—if you believe you can achieve it.”

Kennedy and William both dream of future Olympic medals, seeing track and field as their domain.

“This experience will be invaluable for our athletes,” said Scott. “Every bit helps to give the kids a great national experience.”

As they prepare for the Junior Olympic Games, the athletes continue to remind themselves: “I move in greatness.”
